The Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (MDT) is a key event in the life of the center. As a regional referral center for the surgical management of complex forms of endometriosis in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, IFEM Endo organizes these meetings within its structure.

The Core of our Multidisciplinary Expertise

The MDT allows all professionals involved in endometriosis care to gather in order to discuss the most complex situations and define a tailored therapeutic strategy for each patient.

A Synergy of Specialists

It brings together numerous specialists: gynecologists, gynecological, gastrointestinal, and urological surgeons, fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART) specialists, radiologists, pain management specialists (algologists), as well as any other healthcare professional wishing to participate in the discussions.

Each case undergoes a thorough and individualized analysis to develop an optimal multidisciplinary care plan for patients presenting with complex forms of endometriosis.

Organization & Schedule of Meetings

MDT meetings are organized once a month and represent an essential element of the center's operations. They generally take place on the first Thursday of each month starting at 7 p.m.

Participating physicians practice within IFEM Endo but also in other public and private institutions across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. They can participate either in person or via videoconference.

Openness to External Professionals

These meetings are open to community-based gynecologists, general practitioners, and midwives, as well as practitioners from various healthcare institutions in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. They can present their patients' cases and seek expert advice.

Professionals external to IFEM Endo can attend the meetings in person or connect remotely via videoconference.

Case Submission Procedures

To submit a case to the MDT, it is necessary to complete an administrative form for each patient and transmit the DICOM files of a recent MRI to allow for a radiological review.
